Alckmin Lab Introduction

Agriculture in Western Australia is facing a pivot point. We have moved past the era of simply "digitising" the farm—collecting terabytes of data that sit idle on servers—and into the era of computational agronomy. The next generation of productivity gains will not come from bigger machinery, but from systems that can reason, predict, and act autonomously in dynamic environments.

Our new research group is established to bridge the gap between high-level data science and the muddy reality of the paddock. We focus on the convergence of Agentic AI, physiologically-informed remote sensing, and operational digital twins.
